Too often we reserve sexy lingerie for special occasions like hot date nights or holidays like Valentine’s Day. But we think every girl deserves to wear “beautiful things” (cosa bella means beautiful thing in Italian) every single day. Lingerie is the first thing you put on in the morning and the last thing you take off. It’s the very basis for an outfit. Even if no one but you will see what’s underneath your carefully styled look, the knowledge that you’re encased in sizzling unmentionables makes you exude feminine power.

Designed in Miami but manufactured in Italy, Cosabella combines the best of two worlds. Cosabella was founded by Italian husband and wife team Ugo and Valeria Campello in 1983. These days they have expanded to sleepwear, swimwear, maternity, shapewear, apparel and more, but we are partial to their panties, bras, babydolls and teddys. We also love the fact that they didn’t forget plus-sized vixens, offering curve-complementing goodies in sizes up to 16 and a G cup. Cosabella also helps fight for women’s health via a special breast cancer awareness collection, donating a percentage of sales towards awareness and prevention.

One of Cosabella’s latest coups is the introduction of glow-in-the dark lace. Yumm! Just think of the playful possibilities! Cosabella finds inspiration all over the globe: the palaces of the Minoan culture; ‘80s soft bondage à la Williamsburg; the famous Montmartre neighborhood of Paris; the papyrus Alexander used to write down his poetry and philosophy; the ethereal aura of designer Erin Fetherston and much more – exotic locales, fantastic personalities, and fine fabrics and lace.

Sexy Occasions
For special nights, we love the Trenta Due 2 Tone Teddy with its signature soft Italian lace and contrasting black elastics for a super on-trend caged look. In fact, Cosabella has so many seductive variations, it’s impossible to choose just a few. We need an unlimited lingerie budget! There are plunge bras, sexy garters and barely there thongs.

For everyday wear we like a good push-up bra like the Eiffel Tower, inspired by the City of Light’s most notable monument. Or, if push-ups are not your thing, there are fantastic underwires and delicate so-called soft bras, offering less structure. For panties, there are minikinis, boy shorts, seamless hotpants and more.

For bridal, we are obsessed with Cosabella’s collaboration with American designer Erin Fetherston. The pieces are dreamy and ethereal, evoking wood nymphs and fairies, and we think they work just as well for girls not looking to tie the knot. It would be a shame to only reserve them for that one grand occasion. Fetherston has a style that Vogue described as clothes that “add a dose of daydream into our everyday lives.”

And sometimes we need a little help via shapewear. Cosabella’s tummy-flattening thongs, briefs and bodysuits look glam rather than utilitarian! We’re partial to the elegant black Marni Low Back Bodysuit, made from a light mesh, so you don’t feel squished in and unable to breathe. It’s the perfect LBB (little black bodysuit), for smoothing out curves under a dress or even with jeans.

We think it’s time you treat yourself to some pretty things made in Italy!
