Ingredients
  1. 3/4 cup fresh strawberries
  2. 1/2 cup low fat yogurt or 1% yogurt
  3. 1/2 tbs wildflower honey
  4. 3 eggs
  5. 1 cup caster sugar
  6. 1/2 cup corn oil
  7. 1 cup flour
  8. 1 package yeast (16gr) or 1tbs
  9. 5 strawberries for decoration
  10. grated zest of lemon
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 340F degrees in static mode. Butter and flour your cake pan.
  2. Wash, dry strawberries and remove the stems. Blend the strawberries with yogurt and honey.
  3. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and creamy.
  4. Add also the oil and the lemon zest.
  5. Add the strawberry puree continuing to whisk.
  6. Finally add the flour and baking powder sifted together and combine well.
  7. Pour the mixture into the pan and bake it at 340F degrees for 45 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the center of the cake, it should come out clean.
  8. Meanwhile, prepare the hearts of strawberries: clean and dry the strawberries, remove the stems.
  9. cut them in half lengthwise, carve each half on top with a knife to form the “V” of the heart.
  10. Now cut each half into 2 parts always lengthwise,. Finally cut the rounded sides to finish the hearts.
  11. Let cool the cake and decorate it with hearts of strawberries and powdered sugar.
